Thank you to everyone who joined us for Jewish Women’s Foundation of the Greater Palm Beaches (JWF) 16th Imagine the Possibilities Luncheon, which took take place on Wednesday, December 12 at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. 

The theme of this year’s luncheon was Investing in Women. Featured speakers included participants from JWF’s No Small Change teen philanthropy program and Jane Mosbacher Morris, Founder and CEO of To the Market, which connects businesses and consumers to ethically-made, social impact premium products created by vulnerable communities from around the world. Jane is the author of the upcoming Penguin Random House bookBuy the Change You Want to See: Use Your Purchasing Power to Make the World a Better Place. All luncheon attendees will receive a signed copy.

About the speaker:

Jane Mosbacher Morris is the Founder and CEO of TO THE MARKET, a company that connects businesses and consumers to ethically made products from around the world. She previously served as the Director of Humanitarian Action for the McCain Institute for International Leadership and currently serves on the Institute’s Human Trafficking Advisory Council. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Counterterrorism and in the Secretary’s Office of Global Women’s Issues. Morris is a member of VF Corporation’s Advisory Council on Responsible Sourcing. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She is a term member at the Council on Foreign Relations.

about the speaker

Hon. Barbara Pariente served as a Justice on the Florida Supreme Court from 1998 until her retirement in January of 2019. During that time she served as Chief Justice, authored over 1000 opinions, and participated in cases from Bush v. Gore to Terri Schiavo to redistricting following the passage of the Fair District Amendment. Her commitment to ensuring that cases involving children and families received the utmost attention in the court system and her advocacy for a fair and impartial judiciary are two of many issues she championed during her 21-year tenure on the Court. She is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including her induction into the Florida Women’s Hall of Fame and the Jewish Museum’s Breaking the Glass Ceiling Award.
